For the GOP this is a feature, not a flaw.
"Taken together, the new barriers would have an outsize impact on Black voters, who make up roughly one-third of the states population and vote overwhelmingly Democratic."
We must and will fight back.

(90,367 posts)... to cheat what gets them the wins and what has worked in the past and unless we can brute force the vote like we did in 2020 every time we lose.
Meaning we have to be plus 2 - 3% to win elections ... we need HR1 yesterday

(4,834 posts)I would think that when the voter checks in, the poll workers check the registration list to make sure the voter is registered and then gives the voter a ballot to fill out. Certainly if the poll worker is checking the list they would see, before giving out the ballot, where the voter lives and which precinct he/she should be voting in. In fact, why would they be on a list of the precinct voters at all if they weren't in the correct precinct.
And why wouldn't/shouldn't the voter have a chance to remedy the situation as soon as it is determined he/she is in the wrong precinct?
This whole business already, without the rule change, smells to high heaven.
Or am I missing something?
