Gee whiz, the best intelligence of our government doesn't understand Social Media

(context: Homeland Security Witness Testimony today from every agency)

Who knew? None were aware of the plans that were being made in OPEN SOURCES (Social Media:Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc) They were not aware of all of the plans, discussions, state of mind/intent which were speciically planned out, specifically spelled.

None were aware, because no one understands Social Media.

So they're going back to see what they could have all done better.

Isn't that reassuring?

It is truly amazing what can and can't be directly said. I no longer believe there was a lack of intelligence, a reluctance to show one's hand? Definitely.

portraying it. It's really hard to watch it, but apparently they're in the awkward situation where they have to be interrogated by the perps who are sitting these committees. unreal. surreal.

to "stop the steal" and "it'll be wild." Somebody in those agencies knew of this. Perhaps there's complicity, which seems to be coming out regarding the hours-long delay from the Defense Dept. in okaying Nat'l Guard deployment to the Capitol Building.

The one guy the Defense Dept. sent to the Senate hearing today wasn't even in on the phone calls and decision making. Apparently those directly involving in the foot dragging didn't want to be put under oath and have to obfuscate and lie to hide their ties to trump and the delay.

It's a good thing the National Guard general testified and directly contradicted his statements. The general said he had troops ready to roll for hours and just needed authorization from the Defense Dept. to have them bused to the Capitol in 20 minutes.

It's coming out that the whole thing was planned for weeks and orchestrated at the highest levels of the trump admin.

very briefly I believe:

They're pretending (stupidly) to not be aware of what was and is being posted on social media in order to hopefully put terrorists on ease to go ahead and keep posting more of their plans/intent etc..

They are also doing cya for fear of blowback and charges of illegal spying from traitorous congress critters in both houses who were involved in the insurrection.

Also didn't want to share information to house and senate committee members because these same people who are being investigated are sitting on these committees,

So they're pretending that they didn't because of these reasons. that's my working theory right now.

As someone noted above, LE doesn’t want them to stop on social media. That’s where everything originates.

constituents who are scared they are being investigated.

If the January 6 attack were any another terroristic group, I don’t think Paul would have any problem with banks or other entities providing bulk data for investigators to comb over.

I think the investigation will touch a great many government officials to include law enforcement. And, a lot of them are complicit I believe.

I don't know if Rand Paul has ever been seen or heard to be in Trump world/rallies/insurrection but he sure the hell loves giving him and his cult cover.

Hawley and Cruz they're the worst, and should not be on these committees. it's almost surreal.
