about masks, and open every business 100%, what happens if those states have significant increases in cases and deaths? Will the people in those states re-elect those Governors and politicians?

Those aren't the folks that even GET to vote in those states.
So yep - they will go on as usual.

(1,041 posts)I have cousins that never have mentioned politics on Facebook. Yesterday they were linking a cartoon with two men labeled Mississippi and Texas strolling down the street with big smiles on their face. In the background was a man labelled as rest of the US sitting sad and sick looking on a bench with a mask on his face. These cousin's children live just outside Jackson, MS. So it appears they are quite happy with their governors putting mask politics before drinking water.
