(81,440 posts)March 8th marks the 365th day that my husband and I have been in self-quarantine!
A whole year!
But we've remained safe and healthy throughout, we go on short drives - either for a change of scenery or drive-thru eats, and we Zoom and do FaceTime! (And now that the snow and ice storms are over, it's time to start gardening again... )

So looks like we have purple ones and pale violet striped so far. Looks like a lot of the daffodils and narcissus and hyacinths are coming up, too.
Some stuff, like the blue balloon flowers (my FAVORITES!) and the crocosmia (Lucifers) will come up later - summer I think. Planted some heathers and dianthus too, where the marigolds were last year. But I like perennials better than annuals. Plant em and leave em, and they rise n fall - and then come back again next year and rise n fall yet again.
I love it when the blue balloon flowers start coming up. They break through the dirt looking like little crabs - until they unfold and start reaching upward! LOVE those little guys! And they dont grow too high so you can plant something taller behind them.
