I know it has been said before it can't be said enough.

He has more wisdom that anyone in the Georgia State legislator, not to mention more soundness of mind.

we are so lucky to have him around.

11. Watching him pound nails to build houses for Habitat is what got me involved with the organization.

I figured that any endeavour worth that much time from an elderly man that had formerly been the leader of the free world, and an obviously excellent human being, was clearly something I should support.

12. I cried in 1981 when I watched Reagan swear in at his inauguration while Carter stood opposite him.

The juxtaposition of the simple, earnest Carters against a movie star and his designer-clad wife was jarring.

I was young, not political at all and trapped at home in front of the TV only because I had strep throat.

The way I instinctively felt that day was a harbinger of very bad things to come and where we are today.

Back then I wondered why such a rich man wanted a job that paid so little. Sadly I know all too well now.
