The ARP just brought me to tears.

I was listening to Rep DeLauro talk about her fight for the new Child Tax Credits on Ari's MSNBC show.

The full impact of what this Act means finally hit home.

It means more of Our Children will live in a little bit less hurtful World.

Rep DeLauro praised the Biden administration for being open to this progressive plan that she has fought so hard for over many years.

DAMN it feels so good to have responsible leaders who REALLY CARE, not just politicians scrapping for their next term.

Pardon while I go cry some more. Tears of relief and happiness this time. A rare occurrence in the early 21st century for a progressive like me to celebrate.

I was a kid the last time we had a truly progressive administration.

I forgot what it felt like, nay, I never understood until today what it really feels like.

That’s the last time that our government was truly liberal.

At this point, the Biden administration is knocking my socks off. It’s truly liberal in a way that we have not seen in 52 years (my lifetime).

I am thrilled—cautiously optimistic—no ... thrilled!

who deserves lots of credit - saw her on Ari. She fought for years for a really great cause - ending child poverty.

They are why I am here on DU.

They are why I am active in politics.

It's not about me. I'm old and have had my time.

So glad we have real leaders like her in these crazy times.

Usually we run successful but relatively 'small' hit and run attacks against conservatism.

Incrementalism.

But to get the BIG WIN feels so sweet!

We'd be a better nation with several more DeLauros.

No wonder viewers are fed up with his schtick.

I think the entire Republican Party is being exposed for what they are and who they represent.

And for once, I think Democrats will be rewarded for doing the heavy lifting once again.
