(9,196 posts)attorney David Belin appeared on the Today Show. David (yes, I knew him) had been a junior counsel on the Warren Commission, and was then its most vehement defender. At one point during the interview he said to Bryant Gumbel: Brian, may I call you Brian? Gumbel looked into the camera with a quizzical expression, shrugged and said Why not.

i wasn't sure if i should delete the whole post or not.

(9,196 posts)Later that morning, David was on the Geraldo Rivera show. He was defending the Warren Commission, as he did until the day he died.
His point was that Oswalds bolt action rifle could have only fired three shots during the assassinations time frame. He had a similar rifle with him, and he was carrying it under his right arm as he walked back and forth across the stage, the muzzle pointing at the audience. As he walked, you could see portions of the audience ducking as the rifle swept them. It was like watching an inverted wave, and it went on for two minutes.
