Ammon Bundy refuses to wear mask into courthouse missing his trial, is arrested, remains jailed

Anti-government activist Ammon Bundy was arrested in Idaho on Monday after he refused to wear a mask in court, thus preventing him from entering and making him a no-show for his own trial, officials said.

Ammon Bundy, 41, was due in a Boise courtroom at 8:15 a.m. for the beginning of his trial on misdemeanor trespassing and resisting arrest charges stemming from an August incident at the Idaho Statehouse.

"Mr. Bundy today refused to wear a mask to come into the courthouse and thus was not granted admission," Steven Hippler, administrative judge for the Fourth Judicial District, told NBC News.

And when he didn't get inside the Ada County Courthouse, Magistrate Judge David Manweile issued a warrant for Bundy's arrest. As of 2:30 p.m. MT, Bundy was still being held in lieu of $10,000 bail, jail records showed.

A 'patriot' group (including them Bundys) were set up to have a gathering at a building in the town they were near...they even gave the name of the place and the address. Easy to do a google search on the name of the building and from the photos of the site we find out its next to a kids play ground. All those going to attend bragged about being armed.

An quick email to City Hall regarding safety issues and BINGO suddenly their permit was withdrawn and they had to go meet in the woods somewhere.

One - this Bundy douchetube needs to be caught pulling his shit in a regular jurisdiction. One where it's not so easy to hand-pick a jury of people who think just like him. One that's willing to really throw the book at him. I'd love to see him end up in Sing Sing.

Two - wherever he's prosecuted, the prosecutor has to be on his or her toes during jury selection. He walked in Oregon because of jury nullification. He obviously has the resources to hire sharp attorneys who know how to pick jurors. That has to be countered.
