Good news. I got my check. I ordered lots of groceries and able to feed myself! Yay for me!
I also stocked up on oreos of course and some other suggestive sweets lol was able to pay off some credit debt which was killing my credit score too.
Hi hows everyone?

(10,156 posts)Does your bank like not do online stuff?
I_UndergroundPanther
(12,480 posts)Tried to set up online banking but the bank messed up, haven't got around to trying to set it up again because the bank moved to an area that the shitty public transit out here does not go to. They want you to come in person for the set up.
Besides I am planning on switching banks. To the credit union nearer to my home.

Caffeine and sugar would keep me up the rest of the night.

(26,289 posts)It's amazing how many channels run Dateline, all though the night. Kind of like 'Law and Order' and 'CSI'. They always seem to be airing on some channel, almost 24/7.

(26,289 posts)For example, the most frequent character description of murder victims is that they were 'awesome' people who lit up any room they entered. Sometimes with their smile. Sometimes with just their incredible awesomeness so it might be a good idea to dial back that kind of spectacular effervescence to avoid attracting nefarious attention.
And, if you are going to be the person killing someone so bubbly, bright and sparkly, DON'T buy your murder and clean up supplies from Target or Walmart. The cops know they have really good security cameras.

(10,156 posts)Sounds like a show to prep someone how to do it right lmao.

(26,289 posts)It is notable how many times victims are described that way, though.

(15,812 posts)Glad you got your check!
One of my college aged sons got his check overnight. I just looked (yeah, I still can see their accounts. They can remove me, but they havent yet done so.) The grad school kid got his. He received the first two as well.
The youngest - graduates from undergrad next month- is still a dependent. He didnt qualify for the first two and should qualify for this one. He doesnt have anything pending or deposited in his account. Hell be disappointed but Ill have him check the IRS site later this morning.
Oldest usually donates half his stimulus to his local food bank. He does just fine and doesnt really need the money and is unlikely to otherwise spend it. Hes just not a spender and so far has zero debt. He gets a stipend of $35k a year for grad school, lives with roommates, and his only extravagance seems to be getting coffee out regularly.
The youngest lives more on the edge. Hed actually use it and spend nearly all of it. Im pretty sure he had his small refund direct deposited last year. Maybe theyre batching these out and it takes longer to figure out the new adult dependent classification. Probably means I should get around to working on our taxes, since I still do their taxes for them (with them via FaceTime).

(10,156 posts)Like I can understand the struggles because I've had issues feeding myself this past week and the past couple months since I got my hours reduced. But I have a thing about spending money so I have to carefully budget it

(12,480 posts)Shelter. And maybe get a few things on thier wishlist like a couple of big boxes of litter a big bag of food and a few toys for the kitties there. Ask one of my friends when he's free to take me up there. Still want to adopt another cat. Lease says I can have 2. Got one furbaby, Othello.

(2,191 posts)I don't even have a date yet on the IRS site.
I lost my job last May and I did my taxes before they retroactively decided that some unemployment wouldn't be subject to federal tax. I've seen speculation that the IRS might try to calculate refunds (without people filing amended returns) and combine them with this stimulus check.
I hope not! I'm out of work, I paid tax on my unemployment -- delaying my stimulus check would just be mean!
(So: I'm doing my usual late night worrying.)
