(866 posts)Im deducting it from my taxes. I fear Ill have to do that for the $1,400. I heave heard that IRS workers are so far behind that calling would be futile.

(5,503 posts)But then again, I did not give the IRS my bank account number, so I have to wait for the bank card or a paper check.
I don't need the money, so I have no issue waiting for it.
Others are in desperate situations, so I would hope they get it well before me.

(31,062 posts)And the second time same, for some reason they couldnt get it into my bank account even though my Social Security is deposited directly. I didnt check the website first and second time. So I dont know what message there was

(34,857 posts)I wish they would have handled this better. Seems unreasonable 90 million received their stimulus yesterday and a few of us who qualified aren't getting any notice when we'll actually receive ours. At least with the last one I knew when it was being sent out.

(44,974 posts)I am actually on lock out after checking multiple times. If you check 5 times, they won't allow you to check again for 24 hours.

(1,202 posts)This is happening to my mom. She is on SS. She does not file taxes nor needs to. She received both previous checks direct deposit. Nothing has changed as far as where she lives or her banking information.

(12,165 posts)This is similar to what happened with the first stimulus payment. The status of the payment never changed, and the tool to update payment destination information didnt work either. Yet we received a paper check about 60 days after the first set of payments started going out. I had given up.
We received the second stimulus check about a week after they started going out (again, as a paper check, even though my husband has had his social security deposited directly for years).
Now were back to the same anxiety that we will not get the payment that we had at the time of the first stimulus.
Its so frustrating. Im not sure how we ended up in the group of suck.

(99,714 posts)I might start checking every other day because it's depressing to see it wasn't deposited yet.

(589 posts)get into that site. No matter how many permutations I gave, it told me I didn't exist.
Eventually it seemed to think better of it as I FINALLY got my FIRST $600 around September. The second $600 took all of a couple weeks.

(9,037 posts)My accountant said that if you don't get a check by mail Friday and you should be getting one, you should call the IRS. Normally she would do that for us, but she's buried by work.

(65,180 posts)She is on Social Security and hasnt filed taxes.
She got her first stimulus through direct deposit.
Like with me, they tried to send her second stimulus to a closed account. She was reissued a paper check.
Third stimulus status remains Not Available.
So both my mom and I are waiting because my third stimulus was sent to a closed account yet again.

(17,146 posts)my congressional rep, a Dem. Her representative contacted me by phone and offered to help me track down the payment through the IRS, but I decided to just claim it on my taxes since I was going to owe. The same thing will probably happen with this payment. I have no idea why since I qualify and I got the first one. People with the same issue may want to contact their congressperson if they really need the money.

(17,146 posts)because it took me that long to realize that they just weren't going to give it to me. If you ask them for help now your rep might say it's too soon. Sorry, that's the best I got.

(1,962 posts)Despite being on Social Security/SSI and being eligible, I'm getting that status, and nothing has gone into my account. Adding to the frustration is that my roommate, who is in the same boat, did get a status - the 17th - and indeed get their payment on the 17th as scheduled.
The first $1,200 last spring, I got it several weeks after my roommate, and at no point did the website tell me it would happen. I simply logged in one day to check my account and saw the balance had gone up $1,200. The $600 at the end of the year went in very quickly. But now we're back to the IRS's website telling me nothing and sitting and waiting while most of the people I know have already received theirs.
I had honestly hoped this time would be a lot less frustrating and stressful considering there's a president in the White House and not some reality TV goon, but, no. The IRS or SSA is dropping the damned ball and causing this to once again be a source of stress.
