(28,276 posts)Todd's shabby treatment of Hillary in 2016 contributed to trump occupying the White House and all the atrocities which followed. If he had any sense of personal and professional honor, he would have left, long ago.

Yeah, right. chucktodd will proceed to move the goalposts and say that Biden really failed, because 100 million Americans weren't fully inoculated, even though the promise was 100 million doses would be administered.

(14,176 posts)The Todd tweet has the same date on it as the retort. It seemed like that was exactly what he was saying. Which is disturbing in that I would even think that based on Todd's history.

(58,785 posts)he's very good at sabotaging both Democratic candidates and the beliefs of those considering voting Democratic. Those daytime slots draw their least knowledgeable and most easily influenced viewers, so that's why they gave him a bunch of them during the campaign seasons.
And the weekend network political shows draw those who mostly watch only an evening network news show but believe that's where to go to learn what they need to about politics. That's why he was given MTP in the first place.
People really should have clued in long before he famously went just a step too far in describing both Trump and Hillary as circling the drain together and the nation deserving so much better than them... After all, he hit that same theme a todd more subtlely every day, along with her corruption and untrustworthiness.

(54,445 posts)Some used to complain that he used to run it as if it were his own little private kingdom, but at least he was a true journalist and made sure his program was exactly what its title suggested. This "lookit me!" format that started with Tim Russert pretty much ended the show's premise, and started a new era--to those who knew it for decades, not necessarily for the better. Gregory and Todd have pretty much throttled what life was left in that show. Were it to be canceled, regrettably few people would notice.

(90,829 posts)Of course, back in the day, Andrea Mitchell was a pioneering female broadcast journalist, too. Some brands have devolved since then.
On the other hand, we now have Rachel Maddow and Nicolle Wallace, among others, each excellent in her own way. I have zero problem changing the channel or turning the TV off.

Followed shortly by Andrea oh but her emails Mitchell. Downright gleeful she was, every damn time the subject came up. She must have been a Hillary-hater to end all Hillary-haters. I kept wondering why she forget to wear a bib, she damn near drooled with glee over the subject. The last laugh on that one would be MINE.

(8,925 posts)When we reach 116,500,000 (we should reach after 86 days, at current pace), then all talking points will be exhausted.
At that point 100,000,000 vaccines will have been administered during Biden administration.
Biden's administration is on pace to have 134,677,410 shots in arms after 100 days.
1st shot administered on Dec. 14, 2020.
So Pendejo45's administration averaged 13,460,526 shots per month.
President Biden administration is averaging 41,750,000 shots per month.

(2,403 posts)They forgot that the people in charge can actually have a plan. And can announce a plan that they know is not only attainable but easily attainable. Because having a plan and a goal that is met easily provides confidence to its citizenry. THAT was one of the major things that the previous four years lacked. Foresight, then planning, then execution.
We have a normal functioning administration. They really should have gotten the memo.
