I haven’t heard reference to a press conference either except to accuse him of hiding. I guess he did. No one said anything about it except to extrapolate from a word left out that he’s lost his faculties.
People have so little understanding of how brains work. And the ones who spin know that. I do know. I studied it for years. People forget words. People form habits (he referred to his co-leader as “President” for eight years). Age does usually cause a bit of anomia but it has nothing to do with the ability to perceive reality or make decisions. I think he is a scoche slower than he was when he was forty. But there are gains, in perspective, in having a long view, in experience, and frankly in having few irrational fucks left if you don’t have to prove you’re still a young stud, which has never been his thing except maybe for those awesome cars.
That other guy, now, he’s a combination of long term personality disorder and sliding abilities to be what he’s deluded himself into thinking he was, and listening to him try to bellow and fumfer his way through is like watching a pig on skates. Of course I could be a tad biased. 😏
