first of all, there are things about Libya that the administration should answer for, especially the Susan Rice comments.
But the GOP is going about the issue in a 99% non-credible way, they are comparing it to Watergate, alleging ridiculous conspiracy theories such as LIHOP, a lot like the way they went about Fast and Furious, which imho was also a legitimate issue.
And of course the security failures, the fact that Paul Ryan voted to cut security money kind of takes the wind out of that angle doesn't it?
And now they are going after Stephanie Cutter for some completely non-controversial statement she said. She is a political operative, she has no responsibility for Libya. They are going after her because they hate her because she has been very effective in this campaign. Her statement was that the Romney campaign is politicizing Libya. And so now, the memo has gone out and the RWers are even calling for her to resign. Why? Who cares, just get the word out, the real controversy isn't getting us anywhere let's make up a fake one.

(9,696 posts)I watched a GOP commercial last week where the 20-something "mom" said "I lie awake at night worrying about the deficit and what it means to my kids." Who thinks up this crap?

(5,436 posts)As usual from the repigs. Even worse, if that's possible, on this case since the direct comparison is the way ex-pres Cheney and his assistant spokesman Chimpy fucked up mega-royally on 911. You couldn't question that at the time, of course, because it was such a tragic event and "everybody has to pull together ... OR YOU'RE A TRAITOR!!!!"
As always, IOKIYAR
