(22,053 posts)For some traditional stupid reason, the stairway to the airplane has red carpeting. If the President is wearing dress shoes with leather soles, the shoes can slip. It's happened to me dozens of times.
Whenever I've traveled and had to board a plane parked away from a jetway, the treads on the stairs have a non-slip surface for the obvious reasons. Air Force One, or the airports, should improve the stairways presidents use.

(34,102 posts)A nose wire prevents gaps around the nose - glasses fog when moist air seeps out between the gap between the mask and the cheek near the nose.
3D masks conform to the face around the edges (to prevent air leakage), but stand out from the lips and the forward part of the cheeks to make it easier to speak without sucking in part of the mask. That does make it somewhat more difficult to glance down.
