the western powers. That is why the west, for the most part is in the shape it is in regarding COVID19 pandemic. When many disadvantaged nations much less developed and wealthy than the US handle a pandemic (without vaccination) much better than wealthy western nations one has to look at how and what contributed to our unexpected poor showing.

Boris Johnson followed Trump's initial lead and look what happened as a result. Italy, Spain etc. And while some countries are showing economies that seem to be thriving more because they refused to close down, they did so at a much heavier death rate than necessary.

No question that Trump set the western tone.
