That colossal display of legal chicanery is the most blatant example of just naked, out-and-out racism I've heard about in years.
And that fucker Cornyn is trying to block Ms Gupta's nomination to the DOJ to get revenge for her uncovering his culpability in that shameful affair, which got swept under the rug, btw. And Cornyn went on to become a US Senator afterwards.
Just think about it, over the decades and centuries how many thousands of other travesties of injustice have been perpetuated upon Black people and other POCs in South, not just the South, really. How many? How much has been lost is incalculabe. The nation owes Black people so much, but every time the word reparations comes up it's like..."Oh no, the people that are alive right now had nothing to do with slavery. And McTurtle just said a couple of days ago that Black people have been paid back for enslavement as the nation elected a Black president (which he himself continuously blocked btw) and passed civil right laws and on and on with his racist BS.
God, this stuff just makes your blood boil.
