Democrats Say Agency Run By Trump Holdover Is Delaying Stimulus Checks

Millions of disabled and retired Americans are still waiting for their $1,400 stimulus payments because of a holdup at the Social Security Administration, House Democrats said Wednesday.

Social Security hasn’t handed over payment information that the Internal Revenue Service needs to send the coronavirus relief checks to nearly 30 million people receiving retirement or disability benefits, Democrats said.

A March 12 note on the Social Security Administration’s website about the checks says the “IRS is reviewing the tax provisions” of the new law and that there would be more answers “soon.”

In a Wednesday news release about how many stimulus payments it has distributed so far, the IRS said it would provide more information about payments to people on Social Security “as soon as it becomes available.”

7. I was checking daily, wondering if I might be entering my data incorrectly

...you know, "should I be adding dashes to my SSN?" (No.) or "what about my apartment number?" (number after "#", just like the format they display), when suddenly I had a result! Told me my DD would happen in a couple of days...which was today. Deposit showed up fine, although I should note it was even less than the CNN Calculator indicated it would be, based on my 2020 taxes.

So they are being processed. There's just yet another petty miserable trumpkin rat screwing things up for everyone, either out of spite or on orders from Diminishing Donald and Pooty-Poot, who needs to be eliminated as soon as possible.

And anytime we encounter some red-capped dipshit wondering where his check is, he needs to be told exactly WHY he's not getting his "socialist handout" in a timely fashion.

3. SSA and IRS getting HAMMERED on twitter from folks who desperately need the relief.

Trump appointees at the agencies have delayed sending the appropriate info to begin the payout for those who likely need it the very most. Veterans, SSI and SSDI recipients, people who don't make enough to require tax filings, etc.

Cruelty is the point, as usual with Trump and his mobsters.

Trying to make it look like Biden's fault, too.

Social Security will send the payment file on Thursday, an agency spokesperson said in an email. He added that the agency was disallowed from working on the payments in advance because lawmakers didn’t give Social Security the same kind of appropriation for that they gave the agency for the first round of payments last year.
