But, Joe Biden is doing a wonderful job as President.
He is 1000% better than the "former guy".
Progressives really have no complaint with the job he has done thus far.
If he can get something done about guns and the filibuster, it would be great.
For example, I thought he was being a little too optimistic when he said his goal was to get 100,000,000 vaccination shots in his first 100 days. I thought that might be a tough goal to reach. He reached it in 58 days! That was impressive!

(149,636 posts)He's doing a superlative job! I think he must be having a great time too.
After all the waiting and the dashed hopes, to be finally in the White House, he must still be pinching himself!

(14,855 posts)It still amazes me that so many people still vote for Republican politicians who basically promise to do nothing while in office! Or if they promise anything, it's often stuff that harms the general welfare of the masses.

(21,487 posts)planning, even before election day. I expect there was a collection of people who know each other or run in the same circles, discussing where the nation went off the rails and how to get back on. These would be people who, like Joe, who have experience in government and know how it should be run.
Joe's knowledge and experience were my primary reasons for backing him in the primaries. Plus, I remember his speech at the 2016 Dem convention, in which he eloquently stated his firm belief in the "soul of America" and our values.
I knew he would be good, but he is even better than I expected. He knows what needs to be done, knows how to do it, and is deeply, personally committed to making America be what it can be. The last time we were in such peril as a nation, it was FDR who pulled us through. Joe is a different person in a different time, but has equally good leadership qualities.

(1,910 posts)Zero ideas.....nothing on health care, educating kids for the new green future jobs, fixing Social Security, climate change.
There is absolutely no reason to even have a Repug party.
I want the voting rights act more than anything. I'll wait for infrastructure and immigration because without the voting rights act, nothing else matters.

No one here will be disagreeing with you. Biden is doing absolutely great.
One thing we can all do is call our US Senators and instill a sense of urgency around voting rights and immigration. This Georgia thing the traitor Kemp has signed into law MUST be reversed with national legislation - a new voting rights act. If we do not do that, we can kiss the republic goodbye because the Republicans care about power above all else.
I will be calling my Senators daily on this matter.
