You might be confused about why immigration dominated the press conference

and you would be right to wonder. After all immigration is undergoing a seasonal surge that repeats itself year after year. The media knows this.

So why keep returning to it question after question to the point of totally excluding any questions about the issues on real people's minds? Not one question about the pandemic. Also, gun control was barely mentioned.

It's because the media, including CNN and MSNBC, it pains me to say, care and/or know little about what real people are going through. They are emmeshed in some kind of weird
beltway bubble which gets its talking points from FAUX news. FAUX has been laying the groundwork for this for weeks.

The medias' willingness to go along is embarrassing and for once, they're actually being called out on it.

Having worked in that business, it's all about getting attention. Grabbing the viewer/listener. And preferably keeping them. Stoking the fire - and their fears and dreads and outrages. Inflamers. And scab-pickers (figurably speaking, although with some of 'em, probably literally...).

which our VP is doing already by talking with leaders in the 3 triangle Central American countries where most of the migrants are coming from. And Biden is restoring the rule of law that requires asylum seekers to be treated with humane dignity while being vetted instead of criminalizing them.

We should take pride in the fact that the US is still a beacon of liberty for those who seek it.

some with a bit of artistry to stay to the truth, others searching for another audience. Immigration is easy. Eyes and clicks and what's available to chase them, will move the swell.

Categorize the audience. We read. We contemplate between ideas as we read. We see the media through thinking minds. How many thinking minds have the chance to develop into deep thinking?

The media is THE connector. After reading "Sapiens," I could only agree that money was the true confidence of a society. It had replaced religion as a guarantee of commonality.

I'm convinced that media is more personal and cheaper than any sense of self that money could buy.
Instant gratification of the ups and downs of any of us.

All the DC reporters need to get out of the city and stop listening to their Republican comrades. They don’t seem to have a clue, or care, that Biden has been busy trying get vaccines to people so we can get out of this damned pandemic. He’s been in office 65 days already. Why hasn’t he solved all the country’s problems that have been problems for decades!

Most of the questions were gotcha questions to try to get him to make a misstatement. And what was with asking him whether he was running in 2024 with Harris as his running mate? Again, he’s been in office 65 freaking days! That may have been the stupidest question in history.

Mexico's President Says Biden's Promise of Better Treatment for Migrants Causing Border Surge

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the left-wing politician whose name is often abbreviated as "AMLO," placed blame for the border crisis on the Biden administration on Tuesday, implying that the president's team has allowed the perception that it's "easier" to cross the border to take root
