HO renewal

So I got the renewal on my Homeowners Insurance. Was looking through it and noticed that they have added two new exclusions. Loss caused by use of cannabis and/or electronic smoking devices. I don’t have to worry about either but I’m wondering if they have had a similar exclusion for tobacco use. (I don't smoke) It just seems as if the insurance companies are excluding more things than they are covering nowadays.

if there is a smoking exclusion on your policy, likely lowering your rate a bit, they are clarifying other actions that fall under the exclusion.

of overnight guests possibly having a toke in the guest room, I'd find another policy. That's BS. A large percentage of house fires are caused by careless tobacco use and it would seem to be against public policy not to insure such losses.
