Is the Morning Joe crew Republican?

This morning, the regulars were there in round table, discussing the debate. (Biden was so rude, Ryan was great, but Biden seemed to help from Obama's last week performance, etc.).

Now, I could swear most of them are Republican. They're not tea partiers or extreme right. But they're on the right, are not for Obama, and they gear the converstation toward the right. They were: Joe, Halperin, Willie Geist, that skinny Republican guy who is married to some dark haired broadcaster I think from CNN or used to be on CNN (he was Barnacle's replacement), Mika (the only Dem, I think, who gave her opinion....once, and then politely shut up, since she is a second banana and low on the totem pole), Willie Geist.

There were guests in spots who were both Republican and Democrat (Dean, Cantor, some Repubs I don't know, Gillespie).

But the regulars (they're on the show for the whole show, there almost every day) are Republican, aren't they? I think Barnacle might be Democratic, although he doesn't sound like one sometimes.

Is Halperin Republican? I think so, but couldn't find evidence of it. The skinny guy is a Republican advisor or something, so his political affiliation is a given.

I was telling this to a friend, and she said no, that the M Joe crew are a balanced group. Dems are on. I was explaining that Mika is a CO-HOST who is a second banana, who doesn't express her opinions strongly or often. But the regulars, the ones who sit there for the whole show, are mainly Republicans. Dems are guests, but not regulars. Except maybe Barnacle. ????

Nobody argues with Joe's false equivalency that Birthers are the same as liberals who know that the CIA under Poppy Bush sold cocaine in L.A..

you are responsible for my good health today. I truly did laugh out loud... loudly. Thanks!!

I think Mika's heart is in the right place, but lately I fear that the thick mop of hair on her head is the only thing of any substance in that general area. Sad, because with her pedigree, I truly thought that she might bring some intelligence and spark to the program. But as we all know, it is now called the Morning Joe and Shut Up Mika Show.

Much better show. I keep hoping MSNBC will cancel Joe, but I guess there are viewers with a stronger stomach who stand to watch him.

I'm so grateful for Bill Press and Stephanie Miller in the a.m. I can't even stand C-span's a.m. show anymore.

found. A friend told me that. I tried to disprove that and could not. He IS a numbers guy, a reporter of sorts, and is pretty fair, so it's possible he's a Dem.

It told me enough from the start that I have never seen a moment of that show, why would I? It is a right wing chat show, that's what it is. It is also why I don't buy any Starbuck's products.

pretty much everyone is republican, but when he's not there, they are free to express their own opinions which will vary. Scarborough is a controlling bully and does not tolerate anyone who disagrees with him. He sets the tone and the rest go along if they want to appear on his show again.

Morning Joe is a very different program when the "Joe" takes the day off. The conversation is civil and no one rants and yells for most of a segment.

I once overheard Barnacle badmouthing Keith Olbermann to some friends in a restaurant, too. So, he's a full-time douchebag, even when he's out having lunch.

Sounds like this poster is asking a genuine question and is getting nothing but derision. Yes, Honeycomb8, Joe was a republican congressman from Florida. Mark Halprin was a speech writer for Bush 43, Dan Senor worked for Bush 43 and now is an adviser to Romney. Barnacle was supposed to add the "regular guy's approach" to the show, but he was a newspaper man who was charged with plagerism and fired. His wife works for Goldman Sachs I believe or Chase. Guess where he's coming from?

Bottom line, they are all extremely well-paid commentators who are in the 1%. I suggest you watch Current TV or listen to Progressive Radio in your area. I stopped watching the Joe Show several years when my blood pressure went up with every viewing.

who is a Democrat but oddly thinks the M Joe show is "well balanced"??????

People are so stoooopid! They just believe what they see on TV. I see a group of right wing men sitting around a table talking about Obama...and I KNOW it's a slanted conversation and that a balanced position is not being presented, but it doesn't seem to occur to some people to NOTICE even that the people are right wing. I mean, it doesn't even cross their minds to consider it. I notice...for one thing...they'll show a poll. Only one. And it'll be the one, of course, that shows Obama in the worst light. I KNOW there are other polls, and that's not a true picture they're painting.

Gets me irritated that people, even progressives, are so easily duped.
