This is just the type of person the Romney campaign has been trying to recruit with their welfare ads...

(70,504 posts)S.E. Ohio is beautiful .... and it will always be part of me.
God, I love it there. A late summer's eve in Athens County with
the fog building between the hills ..... sitting with friends and listening
to music ...... life has no finer pleasure.
Not the Rockies or the coast of Maine or the Redwoods but it is
a beauty in it's own way but its does have more than a few outright
dumb ass bigots. Although this boy could be from Columbus, Cincinnati,
or Murray City, OH.
Our only hope is that they will die off and not poison future generations.
BTW ?????? smart DUers when do I use it's, its, or it is?????

(161 posts)You can use "it is" and "it's" interchangeably; "it's" is a contraction (or shortened form) of "it is". However, you may wish to use "it is" in formal writing and "it's" in informal writing. "Its" is the possessive form of "it" used to say that "it" possesses something or some quality.
Example: It's important when installing a battery to observe its polarity.

(22,271 posts)late, great Gil Scott Heron. The same person who brought you, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." Iirc, the line you offer up is from "B Movie" on the album "Reflections."

(1,237 posts)I don't think that he would dare to make T-shirts endorsing racism. As much as he likes to blow the dog whistle, I would hope in this day and age it would be political suicide to endorse a message as blatantly racist as this shirt.
