I think this image is a portrait of America at this point:

On one side (the right) is a face distorted by a vitriol borne of a rancid ideology. On the left is seen the face of one who can hardly believe what she is witnessing, recognizes the familiar idiocy of the diatribe, and speaks volumes with her smile.
