Question on the Greenberg fake I.D. story

If news reports are accurate, Matt Gaetz was either involved in or aware of Greenberg’s fake I.D. scheme. The thing that is not clear to me is, what were the fake I.D.’s being used for?

Was it for sex trafficking? Was it for nefarious activities with minors? Was it for voter fraud? Just what was the goal of the fake I.D.’s?

I know some teens want to drink, but how much money do kids have for that? If you’re going to make money off crime, why not run a scam that actually makes serious money from people who have it? Fleecing teens for allowance cash is high risk and low profit.

Fake IDs are common, bouncers at bars have to be on the lookout for them, especially in college towns.
