I'm still waiting on several items. Most have been stuck at a hib for over a week with no movement. One is a present that's been stuck in St Louis for nearly 3 weeks. ( I live less than 3 hours from St Louis so it's especially frustrating.)
It's obvious how certain policies have purposely tried to fail our delivery.

(16,937 posts)Ever since I signed on to the 'Informed Delivery' service offered by the USPS I have been much more conscious of the consistency of delivery. When I first signed on last spring (Hey, it's COVID - what else is there to do!) I could set my clock by my 8:00 AM postings of my daily mail.
Not long after that Postmaster General "Ain't NO Joy" was appointed and his plan of "progress" was implemented. There were reports of serious cut-back on overtime as well as scheduling hours for the workers. It was also reported that many high-cost sorting machines were taken out of service and some were intentionally destroyed to prevent their use ever again.
Coinciding with these events, my "clockwork" notices quit being "clockwork." In stead of being quite timely at 8 AM, they would not appear for at least another hour, sometimes 2 hours. I've also found that there are occasionally certain items that were to be delivered that didn't arrive until at least a day later.
So, YES, I've noticed delays - and you KNOW that the Dems will be blamed for it!

(15,952 posts)The Fall of 2020 was dicey. For example items emailed to me for the day didnt show up for days later. But it seems to have improved since.

(13,571 posts)I mail priority mail on Friday; it's always there on Monday. I send "care" packages to a friend with Parkinson's who can't get out much for treats. Chocolate, Meyer lemons, a live rosemary plant -- all of those were in the last box.

(3,427 posts)I sent several packages by Priority Mail in the past month, and there were no delays with any of them.
However, I did have a few last year that took rather circuitous routes to their destination. One went from here in Washington State to New Mexico via New York City!

(395 posts)I know I should have done it earlier, but was pissed that I even got the bill and tried to argue it.

(6,041 posts)even though it was sent nine days early.
I have now moved to pay most all my bills online. I just don't want my credit rating torpedoed because there is an idiot running the show.

(42,613 posts)The one to a St. Louis suburb got there in 4 days. The one to Knoxville, TN took almost 2 weeks.
