Real Time with Bill Maher guests - Friday, April 9, 2021

Real Time with Bill Maher continues its 19th season Friday, April 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at 12:01 a.m., exclusively on HBO.

This week features a one-on-one, in-studio interview with Senator Alex Padilla, former Secretary of State of California who now serves as a Democratic Senator from California and Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Safety.

This week's in-studio panel discussion will include Heather McGhee, author of the New York Times bestseller The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together. She is the Board Chair of Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization; and Reihan Salam, President of free-market think tank The Manhattan Institute and contributing writer at The Atlantic.

I'm interested in hearing from the new senator, don't know much about him yet. Rhiannon12866 Apr 2021 #2
Yes. And McGhee is good too. Not familiar with other guy. Also expect Gaetz jokes. Hoyt Apr 2021 #3
Yes, he's had Heather McGhee on before and she's always good Rhiannon12866 Apr 2021 #4
Yeah, I've seen him. He's conservative, but at least has an argument worth thinking Hoyt Apr 2021 #5
Interesting counterpoint to Heather McGhee, though I don't remember him being particularly offensive Rhiannon12866 Apr 2021 #6
For sure the senator will be singing the praises of CA Gov. Gavin Newsom. oasis Apr 2021 #9
Right, wasn't he appointed by Governor Newsom to succeed Senator Harris? Rhiannon12866 Apr 2021 #10
Yup Gavin's pick. Alex is a fine Democrat and a team player. nt oasis Apr 2021 #13

As for Reihan Salam, I looked him up and he looked familiar, know he's been on the panel before, just not recently.

It's going to be a relief to have new shows again, too many repeats in the past couple of weeks, and this looks like a good lineup.

to fill the void, but 'tain't the same!1 ---And a reminder of oddity, I have never read any BOROWITZ column or paragraph or whatever his format is, only the headlines that first pique the click bait button and then the oh-it's-BOROWITZ button.
