2. That can't possibly be right with all the violence in Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq,

and so on. I suppose in some of those it wasn't guns it was machetes, which I choose death by gun myself, but there have been a lot of innocents killed by very few across the world in the past 20 years. And I have to say, if I'm going to die a violent death, I'd prefer a gun and a clean kill over some of the methods used in many of the massacres and un-righteous killings that have happened.

A single number doesn't mean much given the horrible shootings and murders occurring routinely in various locations. The death tolls in Nigeria due to machetes alone are stunningly bad - 200-500 murdered in one day. We are by no means the most violent place in the world. The list didn't show the mass shooting that occur daily around the world. Hell, look at the cartel murders in Mexico.

Our society is hardly that violent.
