Regarding Chauvin defense

Soooo . . . If Erik Nelson (defense attorney) gets to show prior arrests of George Floyd "only for the purpose of demonstrating the effects of opioids on George Floyd and NOT on his character: Do we get to see prior arrests made by Chauvin to demonstrate the effects ass-holery has on Chauvin but not his character????

I think the jury should be seeing the complaints filed against Chauvin. Siwsan Apr 2021 #2

Agreed. The cop strayed off a few times into his back room precinct chat. Baked Potato Apr 2021 #6

I can't see how that isn't more prejudicial that probative. I can see putting into evidence that drug x may have affected him in way y, but that can, and should be, done with medical testimony not arrest records.

on the stand. It appears white officers in Minneapolis are trained to approach blacks with guns drawn, screaming out conflicting and threatening orders, always using profanity, removing them roughly out from the car, then handcuffing and arresting them. The jury should be able to see Chauvin acting in full asshole mode in similar situations.
