Oath Keepers stashed weapons at hotel near Capitol ahead of Jan. 6 riot: Prosecutors

The Justice Department has presented new evidence that members of the paramilitary Oath Keepers stashed weapons at a nearby hotel during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Prosecutors have previously shown private messages between Oath Keepers leaders hinting at a quick reaction force that could respond to an escalation of violence during the riot, but a new court filing suggests that was more than just tough talk, reported Politico.

The filing also shows that Oath Keepers turned on one another after security forces regained control of the Capitol after the insurrection.

4. I'm still wondering about the "Oath Keeper"

who wanted to load a boat with “heavy weapons” and take it down the Potomac to DC. Where did he plan to put that boat in the water and what were the “heavy weapons”? I assume he wanted to put in downstream of Great Falls but, as we’ve seen, these guys aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed.

He lives in the next town over and I haven’t seen any updates on him.
