Pediatric gun injuries almost double in 2020 over the previous four years.
https://www.aappublications.org/news/2021/04/13/pediatric-firearm-injuries-pandemic-041321 Using data from the Gun Violence Archive, researchers with the Children’s National Health System and George Washington University found that the rates of firearm injuries for children under 12 rose from an average of 2.8 to 5.1 per million from March through August 2020, compared to the same timeframe of the previous four years.
This is what happens when people are stoked with fear by the gun industry. They buy guns. Many for the first time. Then they are forced to stay home with kids out of school. More guns in inexperienced hands and more kids at home = more dead and injured kids. Because, GUNZ!
The one bright spot is that no guns were harmed by the toddlers.
