Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government extended this year’s federal income tax filing deadline from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021. This extension is automatic and applies to filing and payments. So if you owe taxes for 2020, you have until May 17, 2021, to pay them without interest or penalties.

3. I thought it was May 15, and yes, states vary

BUT estimated taxes were not extended. Still due 4/15. At least that is what my CPA told me. Maryland is due 7/15

4. PA is due in May, but not local taxes.

I’m not sure where we stand there as our accountant still has our paperwork. We just have to deal with it. At least it’s the smallest amount we’ll pay or get refunded.
