Today's doodle honours Dr. Laura Bassi, Italian physicist, the first woman th be awarded a degree in

science, and the second to be awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy. The doodle today marks the anniversary of her successfully defending her 39 theses.

A truly remarkable, incredibly talented woman. I hope you will take a few minutes to read her biography. A truly astonishing life.

for doing your part in sharing so many accomplishments by women. So under appreciated, and ignored basically.

I have personally noticed over these past few years, the more and more women (especially in the sciences) their research is more layered and thorough and they see more goodness in the world around them.

And I think your observation is quite correct. I often wonder where we would be as a society, a world, if women had been allowed full participation at every level. The same holds true for every segregated, marginalized, despised group.

Please feel free to acknowledge women whose lives interest you in Women's Rights And Issues. As well.
