he comes out in favor of strip mining in the Smokies. Who knows, maybe he'll support coal-powered cars.

The South sends their best and brightest to Congress once again. My Senators are deplorable, too. God help us if the GQP win the majority again and these buffoons are chairing committees.

With our two Senators, we've got them beat by a country mile in the asshole category IMO.

When I was a kid raised in TN (50s/60s), we adored people like Al Gore Sr and most citizens there were Democrats. The few Republicans we knew of were wealthy people and us poor folks got along with them like everyone else.

How times have changed.

He supports scaling back Environmental protections from corporate malfeasance. Regulations are protections.

The zero sum mindset of these idiots astounds me.

Go ahead, let companies explore fossil fuels, but we aren't subsidizing that anymore. Tapping into renewables gives more options, competition, so the invisible hand of the market can work. He's welcome to invest in renewable energy companies along with the rest of us.

He's against the Green New Deal which is not proposed legislation, so carry on titling at that windmill. Oh, wait, windmills cause cancer.

Or, I'm a luddite trapped in the 20th century, and I refuse to be forward thinking, because my constituents fear the future, too.

The best way to describe the existence of humans in relationship to the planet, is that we are a cancer. Republicans and those that share their ideology, seemingly being the largest tumor found on it. Most of us ignorantly just take, invade, and destroy and never replenish, which is bad - in fact terrible - but, it is absolutely disgusting to me though that there are those like this dumbass who are seemingly in actual support of it 🤦‍♂️.

At one time Tennessee sent Al Gore to the Senate. This guy seems to have come from Bizarro Tennessee, where everything is the opposite of what it is on Earth.
