Cop is filmed standing over the body of a '15-year-old girl who he just shot dead'

Cop is filmed standing over the body of a '15-year-old girl who he just shot dead' after being called to a knife attack in Columbus as BLM protesters gather at the scene
Columbus Police said that one person was killed in the officer-involved shooting that took place on the east side of Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday afternoon
Witnesses said that the victim was a 15-year-old girl but police did not indicate who had been shot, just that the officer was not the victim
Authorities had been responding to an initial stabbing call at around 4.30pm
The shots fire call was made just 15 minutes later
A woman at the scene - identified on Facebook as Shonnell Kelley - shared a series of videos from the shooting
Jones shared in the post that the teen had the knife because 'somebody tried to jump her' and added that she was the one who called for help

An officer who allegedly shot a 15-year-old girl 'four times in the chest' was seen on cell phone footage standing over the teen's body just moments after the Tuesday shooting in Ohio.

So, no "drop the knife"? Not even a "what's going on here"? Just drive up on the scene of a couple hysterical girls, and execute the most "threatening" looking to make the point that he's in control?

Yet there are millions of people, including here on DU, who defend that murder even after seeing it point blank on the body cam.

"Truth" depends largely on one's POV (and skin color)

lecturing those of us who are rightfully skeptical of the need to shoot this child 5 times about how we "weren't there and shouldn't jump to conclusions" ... When jumping to the conclusion that the girl was at fault and the cop was justified in shooting her.

That propensity to give cops the benefit of the doubt while insisting they aren't taking sides - defending the cop is the default and they'll only question their behavior if they are conclusively convinced the cop was wrong while they will immediately believe the dead Black victim was at fault from the get to until convinced otherwise - is how they keep getting away with this.

that have been through training with forensics similar to FBI, etc. In Texas, that bureau is known as the Texas Rangers. It is pretty difficult to make Ranger, but they have a history of good ol' boy-ism within the ranks, and I don't know whether they've overcome that.

I imagine the standard for truth is pretty strong with a state investigative bureau versus creating a cover up.

Then again, looking at this little pencil-neck, he's probably afraid of toddlers. I've long held a theory that most cops are either the guys who were bullied in school and are now looking for revenge, or they were the bullies. This guy looks like he falls into the first category.
