Massachusetts Police Department Facebook Post Attacks George Floyd After Chauvin Verdict

A Massachusetts police department has apologized for sharing an offensive Facebook post about George Floyd, saying it was posted accidentally by an officer who intended it for his personal account.

The screenshot of a tweet shared on the Fall River Police Department’s Facebook page referenced former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s reaction to being convicted of murdering George Floyd in May 2020.

It read: “Chauvin immediately stood and calmly placed his hands behind his back. Imagine where we’d be had George done the same.”

The post sparked widespread anger and was quickly deleted.

That does not help your case, Mass PD. That "genuine remorse" reads more like "really sorry to get caught."

It's also idiotic.
Chauvin was now a convicted murderer, in a court room, with proof of guilt manifest.
Floyd was being arrested because he maybe, possibly, potentially was complicit in the passing of a phony bill.
Since it's equally likely he was an unwitting victim of the fake twenty, no arrest should have been taking place.
The moron who posted this is comparing grapes to elephants.
Just stupid.

So nothing to see here.

Really comforting to know this guy is on the street with a gun and a badge and the power of life and death of a whole lot of people who look like George Floyd.

or something very similar. I responded, something to the effect of: "Imagine if the world weren't full of people who justify murder."
