I must sound like a broken record by now. But this is our town in N.E. Ohio where this piece of shit restaurant has backed the far right for years.
In the midst of trying to change our State park to being renamed trump from freshman Rep. Loychik
we have to look at this eye sore in the middle of town each day!!!
Not to mention the Fuck Biden flags... wheres all those community church people?🤷🏻♀️

(22,048 posts)In Texas vs. Johnson, SCOTUS ruled that desecrating the U.S. Flag was protected free speech under the First Amendment. Therefore, any similar state laws would also be unconstitutional.

On second thought, they're insensate to irony. Wasted effort.

You are right samplegirl about the Fuck Biden signs, not one church or religious organization speaks out against this utter profanity and filth. Its appalling.

(70,581 posts)Where democrats saved their auto plant but Trump's stupid ass trade war helped to shut it down.
Where some of the very same autoworkers (white males mostly) whose plant was saved by President
Obama went and voted for the man who challenged if he was really an American.
Where the n****r word is used freely but they love their Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes
(except those that are Steeler fans) and they see no conflict in the 2 thought patterns.
Where republican and big businesses closed down and or moved their jobs out of the country and many
still vote republican.
Where in 2004 you had more absentee votes then absentee ballots mailed out.
Where you can buy a house for $5,000.
Where Trump wouldn't let its citizens onto his golf courses or into his country clubs except to get them to work
for him but not pay them.
Where old school Italian Mafia is still a part of the culture. Or used to be.
Where for the past 2.5 generations racism, ignorance, right wing "pastors, "and 24/7 hate talk radio/TV/internet/social
media has cooked many minds to the point that death alone can cure them of stupidity.
But one thing to watch for as Joe and Kamala lift America back up and stop the pandemic some (not all) and will
see the light and vote blue. Your "friends" @ the restaurant are beyond help.

(18,641 posts)I know, I was at a couple Obama re-election rallies in Lordstown where hundreds of union autoworkers wore shirts with his image that said "He had our backs, now we've got his", referring to the bailout. By the end of his term there were whispers that GM may relocate the sprawling plant.
Then Trump came to town and famously told those union worker to vote for him and to not sell their homes because he was going to force GM and others to build here. And with that, the Trump curse was cast. Within a year, they were building those Cruzes in Mexico.
It puzzles me that most of those blue collar workers seem to still be under the Svengali President's hypnotic spell.

(70,581 posts)... manhood because she is a d**e bitch w/a liberal agenda that must be stopped bullshit. And they
voted against their own best interests and voted for Trump in #s that were big enough so that Russia
could steal the election for Trump. Never forget that Trump also scratches their racist/sexist/anti-
education and science itch and to them that feels damn good.
Reagan's getting rid of the fairness doctrine has allowed many people for the past 2.5 generations to
bathed in misinformation 24/7. Even now Fox and GOP politicians are telling people not to wear masks
or they shouldn't get a C-19 vaccination.
Once my mom passes I'm getting the hell out of Ohio.

(12,875 posts)Once upon a time seeing the Stars & Stripes made me feel secure and proud.
Now when I see a pickup truck driving down the street flying the US flag I immediately feel revulsion, suspecting it's a Trumper whose idea of "patriotism" is poisoned by lies and a neofascist version of American "conservatism" that would make our nation's founders thrash about in their graves.
I want our flag back!!!
When I see it displayed with a Trump banner or a Confederate flag I just want to

The police blotter had an entry every week where someone called the cops about a life & death emergency at Top Notch Diner. I know they weren't serious, but others have had it with these crybabies too.

I'm guessing the Bros have shredded theirs on the back of their truck by now. I'm confident however, that this is bootleg merch, and Trump isn't getting a dime of it.

Wait, there's a Christian flag in that bunch? SMDH There's a new one on me. It's usually Old Glory, Stars & Bars, and Trump flags. Christians are ok with this? (Yeah, I know, the vast majority these days are hypocrites.)

(73,605 posts)that lives near me are friendly, though we certainly never socialize. It's funny: the guys who have hunted & fished for decades recognize the environment has changed, but they can't quite grasp concepts such as climate change. Only one family is openly hostile towards me. By chance, they live across the road, down the mountain. I continue to wave to them the few times I happen to see them, not anticipating the return waves that rarely come.
Because they have so many Trump flags etc, I have decided to plant some of my sunflowers where they can see them. While I mostly grow the more common yellow ones, which will be scattered elsewhere, I will plant three less common types in plain view -- which are red, red & white, and blue.
My house was a stage coach station right after the Revolutionary War. By the early 1800s, there was a doctor's office and the first post office located inside. There are the remains of an old blacksmith's shop at the edge of my lawn. My driveway was part of an early turnpike. I have now lived here longer than anyone else, which I alone consider an accomplishment. More, my flower and vegetable gardens are far superior to those of the Trumpsters. Another accomplishment!
