Raw Story extended 'family' member Aviva Okeson-Haberman struck down by stray bullet

You may know reporter Sarah Okeson's work through Raw Story's partnership with DC Report.

Today, we learned that her 24-year-old daughter, Aviva Okeson-Haberman, was tragically killed in what appears to be an incident involving a random, stray bullet.

Okeson-Haberman worked at KCUR in Kansas City, which described her as an accomplished reporter.

"The killing appeared to be the result of a bullet that pierced one of the windows of her first-floor apartment in the Santa Fe neighborhood." Was more than one bullet fired? Just a random bullet that kills her through her window. I'm not saying
one way or another.

I get Chicago news here, and random deaths happen frequently. But, being a reporter, she may have stepped on someone's toes? I hope a thorough investigation leads to an arrest.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. What EVIDENCE led police to call it random? It doesn't say in all the articles
I've read on this. Who fired it? Did the bullet just materialize? Typically random bullets aren't line-of-sight,
they're arcing and won't go straight through a first floor window (meaning that if was fired above a certain angle at a distance).
Was it a drive by? The utter lack of detail of the
reporting is astonishing. Where did the fucking bullet originate?

They phrase it like the bullet was just flying around by itself. Like there was no murderer who pulled a trigger. Second Amendment rights I guess.

Tell me what other country can your brilliant young daughter be in her apartment and her struck down by a “random, stray bullet”. We are regressing as a country, literally whittling our way down to 3rd world nation status. I read something about Missouri Gov. “nut-job” Gianforte (so?) yesterday and whatever quackery he was up to. For Christ’s sake, this young woman was in the privacy of her apartment and was struck down dead by a “Radom, stray bullet”. I’m so sorry her family must endure this senseless tragedy.
