+2 for Texas I believe is because of POC moving into Texas cities and probably the same for the +1 states. But we know that RWers will gerrymander those areas to the hilts but alas even whites are leaving the republican party in droves. republican party is losing and they know it that is why they prefer a fascist way out.

the much more impactful demographic shift is that there was an increase in the population between 2010 and 2020 of 23 million, but more than 90% were non-white.
