...but what does he know, and when did he know it?

Some enterprising reporter should match his WH phone calls to events. Maybe they already have, and this is his attempt to preempt that reporting. Can't see any upside in this admission, unless he's looking to switch parties, but that's just me.

...it seems that Manchin is fighting for his political life in WV. With DEMS having not won a single county in this past GE, Manchin may know something about his own political fate that we don't.

.

The positions he's holding about relief & recovery are actually detrimental to his state.

Like actually LYING so that he would be good standing with Trump's cult base in WV.

If memory serves, Manchin DID VOTE YES on Impeachment both times, right?

Am I misremembering his vote on each of these extremely important matters?

If I'm correct, does he think the WV voters won't be aware of his votes?

I don't think he's going to wait until 2022 elections to jump the fence. I feel it coming any day now.

I believe he says that for political reasons. If I'm not mistaken, he needs votes from republicans and republican leaning independents in order to win election.

So, I don't think knowing this, if true, makes him a guy I care less about.
