HE JUST DOESN'T LEARN.One thing that Trump has proven over and over ad nauseum, he doesn't follow the normal crime/punishment/corrective sequence we expect from normal folks like children or animals. Punish him? He doesn't care, he will always insist that he was in the right and that the punishment was unfair. It's just what he is. Once the punishment expires, he will revert to form. And not only that, he will act in retribution to those he thought "wronged" him. He is incapable of remorse and reverts to his normal mode, which means retribution.
Putting him back on the platform will only lead to worse behavior, because that's what and who he is.
He should be tombstoned and allowed to fester in his own nest.

(3,496 posts)He must have produced more trouble than he was worth. The one thing businesses seem to like are crowds and this dung throwing menace sure could do that. Guess it was similar to what his contractors and other business associates figured out, get the money upfront for services rendered.
About the only thing I'd give this guy credit for is living a full life of being a d-ck and not apparently suffering any real consequences for it.

(3,629 posts)...they have to be understanding that while they are evaluating Trump, entities both within and outside of the government are evaluating THEM. I think post Jan 6 is the first time they realize this shit poses an existential threat to their business model. It's all fun and games til the FBI shows up to seize all your servers.
I think the periodic re-review is a sop to Trump's sympathizers, so they can't accuse FB of giving him an unfair lifetime kick to the curb. But I expect those re-reviews to be pretty perfunctory as long as Trump is spewing the same stolen election bullshit. And as you say, it's not in Trump's nature to change course just because some outside force told him he has to. He will bull it through until everything in his way is destroyed if he can.

We must be patient and let the Justice System work at it's own speed.
Personally I hope he chokes on a greasy Chicken Wing. But I digress.

Sadly, a lot of people will believe what they hear. With Trump, they never stopped to consider his long string of lies before running for prez.

(6,448 posts)Utterly incapable of remorse or basic human decency for that matter. So no reason to give him a platform to inflict further damage to our democracy through his seditious psychotic drivel.

(1,690 posts)One can only hope he finally gets convicted of something and sent to prison with people just like him populating those places.

(6,448 posts)He must be held accountable for his many crimes, else his long unpunished felonious track record will encourage others to do the same. Fear of prison consequences is the only thing that can deter a recurrence of such destructive wanton acts of depredation. Unlike other sociopaths people of his ilk want to be viewed as respectable -and admired which is hard to pull off from a prison cell in Leavenworth, New York or Georgia. On that front Im heartened by the efforts of Attorney General Garland to put justice back front and center as the core mission of the Justice Department, as well as the efforts of Cyrus Vance and Fani Willis to bring this criminal to justice for the crimes he committed in their respective jurisdictions. May their efforts bear righteous fruit.
