Jared Kushner is founding a nonprofit focused on deepening Israel's relationships in the Middle East, Axios' Barak Ravid reported Wednesday.
The organization, named the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace, aim to deepen the new normalization agreements between Israel and other countries in the Middle East via trade and tourism.
During the presidency of his father-in-law, Donald Trump, Kushner played a major role in facilitating the Abraham Accords, which were hatched between August and December 2020.
It involved the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco agreeing to recognize Israel's sovereignty. The UAE and Bahrain became the third and fourth Arab states to recognize Israel.

And he'll probably skim off a large portion of the donations for himself.

(11,257 posts)I was thinking more along the lines of using the non-profit to steer business to himself in some fashion. The non-profit characterization means nothing if most of the money raised is used to purchase services at a Trump or Kushner business.

(16,254 posts)I don't think I've ever seen a family that is so involved in taking in donations like the Trump Bunch.
Now that SDNY put restrictions on the 3 Trump kids about not skimming off charities, they have to be careful. Maybe Jared is the new procurer of funds for the family's jollies?
Jared also has a big bill coming up for their $40M mansion on a $30M Florida property. You sure as heck can't furnish that with IKEA stuff.
