I say, FB should monitor Republican office holder accounts as well. Looks like they have issues with a private business having RULES we all must follow.

Facebook's oversight board specifically cited Donald Trump's repeated incitement of the rioters at the U.S. Capitol in its decision to keep him off the platform.
Congressional Republicans lashed out against Facebook on Wednesday after the company announced that it would maintain its ban on Donald Trump for inciting violence on the social media platform.
Facebook first banned Trump on Jan. 7, the day after the attack by his supporters on the U.S. Capitol.
"The Board found that the two posts by Mr. Trump on January 6 severely violated Facebooks Community Standards and Instagrams Community Guidelines," Facebook's oversight board noted, citing Trump's praise of the rioters.

(22,133 posts)there were only 9 transgender students in sports related events, other stuff that they are concentrating on in making repressive laws targeting these very minor % of the population, making it a crime for parents of such students guilty of child abuse, and other such nonsense.
Bullies who don't deserve the rule of law since they seem to be making law for no good reason at all, other than repressing a segment of the population that is too minor to really make a difference in defending themselves. What other groups are next that will appear on the republicans' enemies list?
rump is a plain outright crook and scammer on a massive scale and I'm glad that FB, being one of the companies out there too big to be threatened by the likes of these scumbag republicans in passing such restrictive and hateful laws.
I love the bit in the article that trump SEVERELY violated FB's community standards. It's time that more companies, more public entities start mowing down these repressive laws (some being passed even through some have been ruled unconstitutional in the past). I also agree w/ your assertion that republican lawmakers, seemingly on the wrong side of right, on the side of those attempting to overthrow long established transition of governments every four years via illegally retaining power even though no illegal voting occurred, etc.
