Former Colorado cop sentenced to probation for holding roofing salesmen at gunpoint

A former Colorado police officer who held two salesmen at gunpoint last summer and accused them of being antifa was sentenced Tuesday to four years of probation.

Scott Gudmundsen, 66, pleaded guilty to a single felony count of menacing with a weapon for the June incident in which he pulled a gun on the door-to-door roofing salesmen.

-snip-

“I was certain my death was going to be another hashtag, another reason for people to go protest. Because it was clear that, for Mr. Gudmundsen, my Black life did not matter.”

Gudmundsen’s lawyer, Ryan Markus, argued that his client had PTSD from his time as a police officer and was under a mental delusion of a “culture war” due to medication he was on after a surgery.

Hope they took his gun away as part of his probation.

Mental health issues is an excuse used to prevent reasonable gun safety laws being passed.
