I think Trump and Rudy both have lied themselves into a corner. Neither of them know when to quit lying
@gtconway3d
Rudy's now a butt-dialing laughingstock: shirt-tucking star of Borat II, headliner for the presser at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, and now defendant in a $1.3 billion defamation suit for claiming Hugo Chávez founded a company that stole the election from the former guy.

But what's happening to Rudy also isn't good for the former guy. If Rudy has anything to offer prosecutors to save himself, it would have to be Trump, the only bigger fish left. The former guy might want to rethink stiffing Rudy on his bills.

"it was arguably criminal for Trump to have used official powers to try coerce officials n2 aiding his reelection. Giulianis admission he wasnt conducting foreign policy, but helping T personally, would make scheme prosecutable T might want rethink stiffing RG on those bills"

(22,144 posts)wasn't appointed in any federal capacity as far as I can recall, under rump, and others mentioned this too. So, he was either interfering w/ federal efforts/federal relationships w/ a foreign government and/or he was actually trying to 'bribe' foreign officials of Ukraine and/or other governments to hassle Biden's son/others, in short, obstruction of justice.
