I met virtually today with President @lopezobrador_. We agreed to work together to establish a strategic partnership to address root causes of migration, spur economic development, and expand security cooperation. I told the President I look forward to visiting Mexico on June 8.

John Foster Dulles, SoS under Ike, and the United Fruit Company (primarily bananas)'
are deep in the root causes. Why do you think they are called "banana republics".
Fidel was right, Che was right. US neocolonialism is to blame for many problems in
Central America, now leading to immigration from those countries.
