Terrific sleuthing by my colleague @Aaron_Keller_ tying the new indictment to little-noticed earlier state filings:

Replying to @KlasfeldReports
The new indictment alleges that Chauvin hit a 14-year-old on the head with a flashlight on Sept. 4, 2017.
Compare that with this passage from Minn. prosecutors about Chauvin's alleged "Incident 6" from a Nov. filing on the right, also regarding a boy of that age on that date.

@KlasfeldReports
As some folks are noting, the incident was noted in a public filing months ago in November, listed as "Incident 6."
Judge Cahill did not allow the jury to hear it, but it was publicly known.
What's new is its connection to today's federal indictment.

He will live the life he's been longing for, one of domination and brutality. Only now he'll be on the other side of the power balance. Dude sold his soul to the Devil, he should have expected this personalized version of hell.
I don't feel sorry for him in the least. Made his bed, and all that. And amazing sleuthing on this find, indeed.
