I've got to hand it to Gov. DeWine (R-OH) he's really on board with the vaccination push

Enthusiastically so. Even thanking President Biden, during this Zoom meeting between POTUS and several governors. Governor Cox (R-UT) also seems to be fully engaged in a VERY responsible way.

It would have been 'interesting' had someone like Abbott or DeSantis been invited, if only to see how they'd present themselves.

Not sure how much longer the meeting will go - I tuned in quite by accident:

This last year has really separated the wheat from the chaff in the Republican party. Some of them are serious people that we can disagree with while still doing decent work on behalf of the Country. The rest are just sociopaths.

I do believe he’s is sincere about pushing Ohioans to vaccinate because he is concerned about the greater good. Trouble is, we have a lot of hard headed Trump worshippers here and it’s impossible getting science through their thick skulls.

Way too many people are not getting vaccinated. I try to stick to my very, very, VERY Blue district, as much as humanly possible.

as I’ve done all along - masking up, distancing, hand washing, and staying out of restaurants - even though I am totally vaccinated - just not enough people are getting their shots. They bitch and moan about life returning to normal, yet they refuse to do the one thing that will hasten that return. I’m sorry you have them in Michigan, as well. They ruin things for everyone.

My county is up to 46% vaccinated but I have little doubt that involves just a few areas in the county. There are some VERY deep 'red' areas surrounding Flint/Flint Township.

He was strong early in the pandemic and remains so on vaccination. Just taking advantage of those Biden initiatives, running for re-election, and hope the rest of us don’t remember.

I count 22 traditionally democratic states ahead of Ohio in "at least 1 dose". Kudos to Vermont and Massachusetts for going over the 60% "at least 1 dose" barrier. Ohio is at No. 33

My county's numbers are rising. Slowly, but at least there's progress.
