1. It certainly got worse for some people around this country.

Some of my mail from FL to CA took longer than expected.

No packages from eBay purchases were lost, but some were later than expected by a few days.

In Delray Beach, FL, manifestly, it's not been much of a loss of service.

2. Mail service at my home seems to have stayed the same, but at work

we have had a few glitches. Sometimes statements and bills arrive late or are missing altogether. Right now it appears a check has been lost in the mail.

Some of this is probably due to the difference in volume of mail.

3. Borderline unusable, the rate of delays and lost mail is completely unacceptable

Anything important I now send certified mail, had three important letters that were never delivered. One contained a USPS money order, which I finally got it replaced.

Our street is getting skipped at least once per week.

5. Well, on Monday, I sent three Express Mail envelopes

containing checks to addresses all across the country, including one rural address. All arrived the next day. I've also sent numerous plain first class mail pieces to various addresses. All of those arrived within a couple of days.

That's just anecdotal, but I'm not having trouble with the USPS.
