Cheney sits with NBC for exclusive interview after ouster

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) is granting an interview with NBC News after being ousted as chair of the Republican conference on Wednesday.

NBC’s “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie shared a post on Twitter with Cheney. “Just sat down with Rep. Liz Cheney @replizcheney for an exclusive interview on @NBCNews,” Guthrie said in her post.

House Republicans voted to oust Cheney from her leadership post on Wednesday, punishing her for continuing to say that former President Trump lied that the 2020 election was stolen from him.

Cheney was also one of the 10 Republicans that voted to impeach Trump for his role in the Jan.6 insurrection at the Capitol. She survived a caucus vote to hold on to her position after voting to impeach Trump, but her subsequent criticisms of the former president angered Trump and his allies and led to her ouster on Wednesday.

8. We agree that Trump lost the election

that's about all Liz Cheney agrees with any Democrat on.

She'll still vote against literally everything our side puts up, including voting rights, civil rights, human rights....everything.

I am glad she agrees that Trump lost and that Jan 6th wasn't OK. That's about all one can expect from someone like her.

She's not an ally and she's not our friend.

we need all hands on deck for the survival of our democracy. Her agreeing that democracy is being undermined by bad actors in the GOP is a big help for the good guys, even if she isn’t one of them.
