Oil companies aren't liking our plans.for electric cars and trains. They've got us by the balls and they know it. It's even more imperative that we pass that infrastructure bill now. We can't let them control things forever.

raise prices, and they're already doing that. I think they're probably going to go up a lot more. Americans as a whole don't like temporary sacrifice for a long-term goal, they want results they can see right now. If gas prices go up a lot and there are more shortages, guess who will get the blame? And if we have another storm like Katrina this year and prices go sky-high and we see more shortages, it's going to be a big problem.

And the gas prices jump right in lockstep.

Don't worry. I'm not claiming a connection. Oil companies would never take advantage to manipulate markets.

consumers. Just like the toilet paper shortage during the pandemic. I'm not blaming them ; they're probably worried about being able to get to work if Colonial doesn't get the main pipeline open as fast as they claim but things wouldn't be so dire if people would just fill up like they normally do and the hoarders weren't out in full force.

Where there is extra fuel to distribute, there is not extra trucking capacity to deliver it.

Are Exxon Mobil and Chevron in on this?

Is Phillips 66 optimizing profitability of their Linden, NJ refinery?

Or did some speculator in the RBOB contract retain Russian hackers to cripple the pipeline?
